Designing the New: Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the Glasgow Style

Designing the New: Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the Glasgow Style opened in the fall of 2019 and was a 4,500 sq ft traveling exhibition featuring almost 165 works of art and design celebrating the iconic designers' range of artworks and his influences. This was my first freelance exhibition design job.

Co-organized by Glasgow Museums and the American Federation of Arts it also established a link between Glasgow and Baltimore through the development of their respective art schools the Glasgow School of the Arts and the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). There were timelines, videos, an educational interactive, and a large amount of furniture – all of which presented unique difficulties in a gallery with challenging architecture.
